Jeff Cohen '02 was named men's lacrosse coach in July of 2009.
Cohen, a standout lacrosse player at Clark and two-year captain, recently completed his fifth season as an assistant coach at Division I Colgate University in Hamilton, NY. At Colgate, he helped lead the 2008 team to its highest national ranking, 10th in the USILA poll, and first ever NCAA tournament berth. Cohen's primary responsibilities included defensive concepts and face-offs. In addition, he guided the third ranked man down defense in the country in 2008. Prior to coaching at Colgate, Cohen was an assistant football and lacrosse coach at Western New England College for one year and assistant men's lacrosse coach at MIT for one season.
While at Clark, Cohen tallied 133 career-points good for fourth all-time. He finished with 68 career assists, currently 3rd on the all-time list and with 120 ground balls (6th). Cohen had 42 points in 2001 which sits 10th on the all-time list for points in a season. His 20 assists in 1999 is currently eighth on the all-time list.
Cohen was named to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All-Conference team twice and to the Pilgrim League All-Conference team three times. He received a Clark University Merit Award which is given annually to senior athletes who have made a significant impact in their sport and finished his career playing in the NEILA East/West All-Star game.
