About the Program

running the basesClark University baseball coach Jason Falcon prides himself on recruiting talented players that deliver maximum effort on a daily basis. The 10th-year skipper uses his experience as a collegiate and professional ball player to improve, inspire and develop this up-and-coming team. “My approach is to adjust to the team and individual strengths,” says Falcon. “Our team’s foundation is built on hard work and attention to detail; with those elements, success will follow.”

A member of the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC), Clark takes on an intensive and competitive schedule that includes some of the best teams in the Northeast. In March, the squad preps for its vigorous northern slate with an annual spring training trip to Florida, where they will face top Division III teams from around the country.

The Cougars indoor preseason practice facilities are in the Dolan Field House. The field house has an all-purpose gym floor, a batting cage, varsity team rooms, locker rooms for visiting teams and an athletic training room. During the competitive season, the squad practices and plays home games on a new baseball field, which includes a sport-turf surface, lights, dugouts and bullpens.

Last season, Clark punched its ticket to a new single season mark in triples (14) en route to its 10th consecutive trip to the NEWMAC tournament. With a core group of returnees, including a substantial sophomore class, Coach Falcon expects a banner 2009 campaign.
