Women's Volleyballsplits at a tri-match at Trinity

Hartford, Conn. - Senior Emily Moore (Winfield, Ill.) notched 74 in two matches to lead the Trinity College Bantams to 3-0 wins over the Clark University Cougars and the Worcester State College Lancers in a tri-match at Ray Oosting Gymnasium in women’s volleyball action this evening. Trinity improves to 17-7 with its fourth and fifth wins in a row, while the Cougars drop to 6-16 and the Lancers fall to 10-16 on the year.

Sophomore Molly Ullman (Studio City, Calif.) led the Bantams with 24 kills on the afternoon while junior Nicole Cahill (Quincy, Mass.) had 23 to go along with two blocks. Junior Lisa Esposito (Pound Ridge, N.Y.) and freshman Kristen Anderson (West Haven, Conn.) each chipped in with 17 kills and a block.

Clark went 1-1 on the afternoon, using five games to beat Worcester State, 3-2. Sophomore S Kylie Kutney (Commerce, Mich.) had 38 assists and six aces and sophomore MB Sarah Hunsucker (Orinda, Calif.) had 23 kills and five blocks for Clark, while sophomore OH Lauren Saylor (Swansea, Mass.) was the Lancer’s statistical highlight with 17 kills and 14 assists in the match.
