Women's Volleyball Defeated by Wester New England College, 3-1
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (Oct. 13, 2007) - The Clark University womens volleyball team fell to Western New England College, 3-1, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.
Clark drops to 5-14 overall, while WNEC improves to 17-7.
After dropping the first two games, 19-30, 21-30, Clark came back to post a hard-fought 33-31 win in game three. WNEC won the deciding fourth game, 30-23.
Junior Karleen Porcena (Roxbury, Mass.) led Clark with seven kills. First-year Emily Corbett (Rose Valley, Pa.) had five kills and seven digs, while sophomore Emily Visone (West Hempstead, N.Y.) finished with six kills and 25 digs.
Clark will travel to Smith College on Tuesday for a 7 p.m.match.
