Men's Soccerwins key NEWMAC contest 1-0 over Coast Guard

NEW LONDON, CONN.-- Senior Marc Labbe scored the only goal of the game with 21:30 left leading Clark to a 1-0 win over Coast Guard in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) game.

Coast Guard (6-4-1, 1-2-1), which outshot Clark 25-9, had several chances in the final 15 minutes, but junior goal keeper Peter Wise made a few key saves and finished with seven saves to record his fourth shutout of the season.

Sophomore goal keeper Tim Olah, who missed the last seven games with an illness, returned to the lineup tonight for the Bears and made one save in the loss.

Clark improves to 5-3-5 overall and 2-2-1 in the NEWMAC.
