Rowing Opens Spring Season

Results WORCESTER, MASS. 04/07/07 – The Clark University men’s and women’s rowing teams opened their 2007 season with a regatta on Lake Quinsigamond on Saturday morning. Competing with Connecticut College and Franklin Pierce College, the Cougars’ second men’s varsity four was runner-up with a time of 8:00.8. Conn. College won the race in a time of 7:37.6. Clark’s women’s varsity eight placed third out of four boats with a time of 7:47.0. Simmons College topped the field in 7:18.1. The Cougars second women’s varsity four and men’s varsity four raced to a fourth (9:57.5) and fifth (7:49.2) place finish, respectively. The Clark men’s and women’s rowing teams are back in action next Sunday at Lake Quinsigamond.
