Volleyball: Cougars Get Split On Day Two
New York, N.Y. - Clark University split their two matches on Saturday, defeating Mount Aloysius, 3-0, before falling to host CCNY by the same score to wrap up play in the two-day invitational.
The Cougars now stand at 7-15 overall and have two NEWMAC matches remaining on their schedule - Tuesday at Wheaton and next Saturday home against Babson.
In their first matchup of the day, Clark knocked off Mount Aloysius, 3-0 the Cougars were led offensively by sophomore middle blocker, Kristin McGinty (Vail, Colo.), who finished with a game-high 15 kills.
Freshman setter Emily Sullivan (Nashua, N.H.) and sophomore setter Nichole Lopez (Alameda, Calif.) distributed 19 assists and 11 assists respectively.
In game two, the host Beavers claimed a 3-0 victory to finish the tournament with a record of 3-1.
McGinty paced Clark again with 13 kills, while senior Emily Visone (West Hempstead, N.Y.) collected 14 digs.
