Men's Tennis Wins Second Straight; Beats Gordon, 6-3

WORCESTER, MASS. 04/15/09 - Clark University earned its second straight win with a 6-3 victory over Gordon College in a non-conference men's tennis game played at Corash Tennis Courts on Wednesday.

Clark raised its record to 4-6 overall. Gordon dropped to 5-13.

Gordon held a 2-1 advantage after doubles play, but the Cougars battled back to take five of six singles matches to secure the win. Senior tri-captains Adam Bisceglia Ben Gross and Rocco Li won at 1-2-3 singles, respectively. Senior Socheata Ly won his match at the number five spot and sophomore Nathan Maltais took the victory at number six.

Clark will travel to MIT for a NEWMAC match on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Singles competition:

6. Nathan Maltais (CLK) def. Dan Hayner (GC) 6-1, 6-1
