Men's Tennis Falls to Nichols College, 7-2

DUDLEY, MASS. 03/27/09 - The Clark University men's tennis team fell to Nichols College, 7-2, in non-conference action on Friday afternoon. The match was originally slated for Thursday, but was rescheduled due to inclement weather.

Seniors Ben Gross (Newton, Mass.) and Rocco Li (Hong Kong, China) recorded the only wins for Clark (1-2). Both Cougar players won by virtue of a super tiebreaker set. Gross posted a score of 6-2, 2-7, 10-2 at the No. 2 position, while Li picked up a 7-6, 7-4, 6-1 victory in the third spot.

Gross and sophomore Aaron Chin (Hong Kong, China) put up a valiant effort in their 9-8 (7-5) loss at No. 2 doubles. Clark will travel to Coast Guard Academy on Saturday ( 1 p.m.).
