Women's Basketball Captures Fourth Straight Win
NEW LONDON, CONN.- Junior Jillian Camilleri led five Clark players in double figures with 18 points and the Cougars were red hot making 11 of 23 from 3-point range to win their fourth straight holding off Coast Guard 70-63 in a New England Womens and Mens Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) game.
Senior Sarah Roderigue added 15 points and a team-high nine rebounds, senior Sara Hagstrom had 11 points and game-high nine assists while freshman Ivori Aiken and senior Nicole Levecque each added 10 points for Clark (11-11, 7-3).
The Cougars used a 10-2 in the first half turning a 19-17 lead with 12:07 left into a 29-19 lead with 7:02 left in the first half. Clark led 41-29 at halftime.

Coast Guard (4-17, 3-7) made a second half run, as the Bears got back in the game with a 13-2 spurt cutting a 47-34 deficit with 16:07 left down to two points at 49-47 when Martinelli scored with 11:18 left.
Sophomore Jessica Anderson, who made her first career start, hit her career-high fourth 3-pointer with 8:52 left to again cut the Clark lead to two at 54-52. Anderson finished with a career-high 12 points.
Camilleri then gave the Cougars a lift as she scored the next five points and Clark extended the lead to 59-52 with 4:39 left.
Junior Melissa Martinelli finished with a game-high 26 points to go with 11 rebounds while senior Chanel Lee tied her career-high with a game-high 12 rebounds to go with eight points and four steals for Coast Guard.
Coast Guard shot 43.1 percent from the field (22-51) while hitting seven of 20 from 3-point range.
Clark was 23 of 56 (41.1 percent) from the field.
