Volleyball Falls in Regular Season Finale at Babson College

BABSON PARK, MASS. 11/1/08 - The Clark University women's volleyball team dropped its final regular season match to Babson College, 3-1, in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play on Saturday afternoon at Staake Gymnasium. Game scores were 17-25, 19-25, 25-18 and 15-25.

Clark slipped to 11-13 (2-7 NEWMAC), while Babson raised its record to 16-10 overall and 5-4 in the conference.

First-year Parker Edmonds (Fort Worth, Tex.) posted a season-best 11 kills and had three blocks to pace Clark. Classmate Kristin McGinty (Gypsum, Colo.) chipped in with seven kills and two blocks, while junior Emily Visone (West Hempstead, N.Y.) registered 17 digs.

Clark earned the eighth seed in the upcoming conference tournament, and will face top-seed Springfield College on Tuesday (TBA).
