Clark Named NEWMAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week

WORCESTER, MASS. 10/07/08 - Clark University's Joanna Clark has received New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women's soccer player of the week recognition, it was announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

In her lone match last week, the junior goalkeeper did not surrender a goal and made five saves in the Cougars' 1-0 NEWMAC victory over WPI. With the victory, Clark, a native of Windham, Me., posted her fifth shutout of the season. She currently boasts a 1.24 goals against average and .800 save percentage.

Undefeated in conference play, Clark (5-4, 2-0 NEWMAC) will host nationally ranked (T-22nd) and regionally touted Springfield College on Tuesday.
