Volleyball Swept by Springfield College

SPRINGFIELD, MASS. 9/29/08 - The Clark University women's volleyball team dropped three games to Springfield College in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) match on Tuesday night. Game scores were 25-8, 25-17, and 25-13.

Clark falls to 4-8 overall and 1-3 in conference play, while Springfield improves to 14-2 (4-0 NEWMAC).

Newcomer Amira Tranchell (Falmouth, Mass.) led the Cougars with five kills and two digs. Junior libero Emily Visone (West Hempstead, N.Y.) finished with 12 digs.

Clark will host Newbury College on Thursday (7 p.m.).
