Rowing Competes in Regatta

WORCESTER, MASS. 4/13/08 - The Clark University women's varsity four had the best finish of all the Cougar boats at a regatta hosted by WPI on Lake Quinsigamond on Sunday. The group finished second in the four-boat race with a time of 8:33.9. Skidmore College won the race finishing in 8:20.01.

The women's varsity eight also finished behind Skidmore in a time of 7:39.7.

On the men's side, the varsity four and the novice four both placed second in a time of 7:16.2 and 8:26.8, respectively. Skidmore prevailed in the varsity four (7:05.3), while the University of Rhode Island men's novice four finished first (7:39.9).

Clark's women's rowing team will compete in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships on Saturday.
