Men's Varsity Four Wins Regatta

WORCESTER, MASS. 4/5/08 - The Clark University men's varsity four earned their first win of the season in a regatta held on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass., on Sunday.

The Cougars raced to a first place finish with a time of 7:19.1. They bested Rutgers University, who finished with a time of 7:40.2.

In a five-boat race, the women's varsity four "B" team had a strong performance with its second place finish (8:34.1). WPI won the event with a time of 7:56.4.

The Clark novice teams also had solid showings with the men's four placing second (9:29.6) and the women's four taking third (10:01.7).

The Clark rowing team will compete in a regatta next Sunday.
