Warren Earns NEWMAC Softball Player of the Week

WORCESTER, MASS. 03/17/08  Clark University's Heather Warren was named softball player of the week by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC), it was announced on Tuesday.

A native of Upland, Cali., Warren batted .533 (16-for-30), including three doubles, three homeruns, one triple with 17 RBI to lead Clark to a 7-3 record. The senior infielder, who had nine runs scored, collected 16 hits, including six multiple hit performances. Highlights included a 2-for-3, five RBI game in a 13-5 win over St. Joseph's of Maine. Warren leads the team in batting, hits (16), homeruns (3) and RBI (17).

Clark will host Bridgewater State College in its home opener on Tuesday, March 25 (3 p.m.).
