Dimitri Anselme, Class of 1993, Principal, Academy of the Pacific Rim, Boston, Mass.

Dimitri Anselme is past president of the Clark Alumni Association. Here he describes his career path since graduating from Clark.

I am currently the high school principal for the Academy of the Pacific Rim, an urban charter school in Boston. The school has been designated as high performing. All of our students have passed their MCAS state tests (on the first try). They are being admitted in selective colleges around the country.

Before that I worked as a program associate at Facing History & Ourselves, a national and international nonprofit which offers curriculum materials, and professional development for teachers, on how to engage students to explore issues of ethics and moral human behavior while studying history and literature.

Prior to that I taught social studies/history at Doherty High School in Worcester and then at Brookline High School. I student taught at South High in Worcester while at Clark.

In 1997, I received my M.Ed. at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
