Alumni come home to Clark

Several hundred alumni and friends came back to campus on Sept. 23-25 for the second-annual CougarFest Homecoming. Held in conjunction with Family Weekend, this year's CougarFest Homecoming was a perfect way for alumni to reconnect with old friends and enjoy the campus in the fall while meeting current students and their families. The weekend was full of fun activities, including the following highlights.
- Special volunteer workshops sparked excitement among alumni who are helping to plan their reunion in May.
- Alumni, current students and their families gathered on the campus green for a family picnic with carnival rides, face painting, games and other activities.
- A special reception was held to recognize the contributions of alumni who volunteer on behalf of the University.
- Gina Murdza '87, M.B.A. '89, president of Successpay and Successibilities, was the guest speaker at a special intercultural reception.
- The Class of 2005 dedicated the new patio furniture at the newly renovated Higgins University Center.
- Alumni and current students competed in the third-annual Pasticcio Bowl (flag football) on the campus green.
- Alumni hockey players celebrated the 25th-annual Alumni Hockey Game with a special dinner in the Higgins University Center after the game at Worcester's Buffone Skating Rink (see page 17). After competing on the ice, alumni and friends competed in a game of Clark trivia at the dinner.
The weekend also included alumni athletic games, varsity athletic games and the Jonas Clark Fellows dinner, among other activities. Visit www.clarku.edu/alumni/reviews/homecoming05 to view more photos of CougarFest Homecoming 2005.
