The Clark community came down with a case of Cougar Madness on Oct. 31. The remedy: A night of fun activities at the Kneller Athletic Center. The event was hosted by Clark's Cougar Pride Committee. Cougar Pride is a cooperative effort between Student Affairs and the Athletics Department to promote recreation, wellness and athletics involvement. The main event was a basketball “Shoot for Tuition” contest. Liz Lahart '09, Gabriela Rivera '09, Sarah Hunsucker '08, Ryan Small '06 and Genna Farley '09 were chosen by raffle for the contest at the Cougar Crawl Pep Rally at the start of the fall semester. Amanda Guisbond '07 was chosen by raffle at Cougar Madness. Contestants had one minute to make a half-court shot to win free tuition for the spring 2006 semester. While all the contestants made a valiant effort, no one took home the prize.
The men's and women's basketball teams and the men's and women's swimming and diving teams were introduced to the Clark community at the event, which also featured a slam-dunk contest, a three-point shooting contest, a costume contest and a pool party thrown by the swimming and diving teams in the Kneller pool.
