Campus Life

Athletics

You can participate in sports at different levels of intensity at Clark.

Varsity Sports

If you are a varsity student-athlete, you can enhance the social and academic aspects of your college experience through tough intercollegiate competition on one of Clark's Division III teams. Find out more about our Division III varsity teams and/or contact our varsity coaches.

Intramural Sports

Clark's intramural program gives you the opportunity to compete and have fun without the demands of varsity athletics. Approximately half of the student body participates in the intramural program, which also encourages participation by Clark's faculty, staff and alumni. Intramural competitions range from league-team competition to individual tournaments to short-term and weekend events. Activities are structured in a variety of ways, including by level of competition and gender. Ultimate frisbee, floor hockey, volleyball, basketball, soccer and softball are among some of Clark's intramural sports. Learn more.

Club Sports

Clark student groups run numerous club sports ranging from Candelas—a club for Salsa dance lessons—to the Snowboarding Club, Equestrian Club, Outdoor Club, Tae Kwon Do Club and Ultimate Frisbee Club. View a list of all of Clark's club sports.

Recreational Programs

The Athletics Department offers a variety of individually oriented recreational activities. Recent classes and activities include step aerobics, water aerobics, jazz dance, yoga, first aid and CPR, Tai Chi, cardiokickboxing and reggae aerobics.

The University encourages you to participate in recreational activities as well. You can get involved in badminton, the Noontime Basketball Association (NBA), jogging and running, indoor soccer, swimming, tennis and more. In addition to using the tennis courts and playing fields at Granger Field, you can also use the Kneller Athletic Center and Bickman Fitness Center.
