Welcome to the Admissions Office
Our Admissions Committee strives to gain a full picture of the applicant, not just scores and grades on a sheet of paper. Because the Clark experience is so much more than just the traditional classroom format, the committee reviews recommendations, extracurricular activities and high school course selections, in addition to grades and exam scores. Essays and interviews (though not always required, but highly recommended) are also an important tool for you and the committee.
We strongly urge all applicants to start the process as early as possible (usually during the first term of your senior year in high school). The more time you give yourself and the people writing your recommendations, the smoother the process. We look forward to working with you.
Successful applicants usually hold a 3.3 grade-point average, but again, that's not the only criteria to become a "Clarkie." Students who have shown an improvement in their grades from early in their high school career to their senior year are also ideal candidates, and often some of the most successful students in college.
