Academic Spree Day and Fall Fest

You put so much work and time into your project that you feel really good about yourself. You feel as if you're contributing to something special."

2007-2008 Fall Fest Program

Each year Clark students showcase the fruits of their labor at Fall Fest and Academic Spree Day (ASD), both held in Higgins University Center. These events celebrate the research and creative work Clark undergraduate students produce under the support and mentoring of the University's distinguished faculty. Throughout the day students display their research findings, present papers, participate in panel discussions, exhibit their artwork—which include paintings, drawings, sculptures and graphic designs—and perform original musical compositions. The Clark community looks forward to these events each fall and spring. Begun in 1991 and overseen every year since by psychology department faculty member Dr. Seymour Wapner, Academic Spree Day has become the highlight of the Clark academic year. Beginning in 2000, Fall Fest offers a similar venue for the presentation of undergraduate research and creative activity.

Everybody has been so enthusiastic. I've never seen anything like it in my life around here. All of the students are talking with each other, and talking with the faculty as well."
--Dr. Seymour Wapner, Academic Spree Day '91
