National Imagination: Week 2

Timeline

Week Two: Chronologies. The three professors discuss the chronologies of the three chosen countries. While this is the most traditional part of the course, it sets the stage for the rest of the semester.

To explore the background for each of these countries, the professors use several techniques, including new technologies:

  • Blackboard, Clark's online classroom software, to provide students with useful external links and materials to supplement the material covered during the class time. Students access Blackboard through the University's Intranet and a unique password.
  • Extensive use of maps
  • Video clips
  • Visual timelines
