Biology

Graduate Program

The department offers course work leading to the doctor of philosophy in biology. The department has two foci for graduate emphasis: molecular and cell biology or ecology and evolution.

Students applying for admission must demonstrate adequate preparation in the basic sciences, an overall undergraduate record of B– or better, and satisfactory scores on the Graduate Record Examination (and TOEFL for International Students). Tuition scholarships and research and teaching assistantships are available to qualified students.
