- Environmental and Natural Resource Economics/Lecture, Discussion
This is an advanced course, using the methods of microeconomics of producer and consumer theory, to analyze issues concerning the optimal use of renewable and nonrenewable natural resources, the measurement of the benefits and costs of environmental regulation, and policies concerning the use of market-based incentives to internalize environmental externalities. Different applied case studies will also be discussed, potential examples include global warming, agricultural policy, air quality regulation, and population growth. Prerequisite: ECON011 Ms. Geoghegan/Offered periodically
