This course focuses on the ecological and evolutionary aspects of symbioses, the intimate associations among different species that are ubiquitous in nature. Examples of symbioses include lichens, corals and pollination syndromes. Lectures introduce general theory regarding evolution and ecology of symbioses, and student-led discussions are based on primary research articles focusing on specific systems. Prerequisites: BIOL 100, 101 or 103, and BIOL 102. Mr. Hibbett/Offered every other year.
