Td. Imran Chowdhury (Bangladesh) completed his B.S. in Environmental Science and Management with a minor in Media & Communication from Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). He was the president of "Environment Club, IUB," and founded the "International Affairs Club, IUB," where he organized and coordinated different types of training and awareness programs. He was selected to represent his country at the Sixth Annual Youth Assembly at the United Nations Headquarters in 2009, and Harvard World Model United Nations in 2009 in the Netherlands. Currently, he is the research and communications coordinator at mPower Social Enterprises Ltd. and is responsible for designing and executing various operational and impact research projects for mobile technology-based initiatives (including two pioneering mHealth projects with BRAC, Johns Hopkins University and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare to reduce the maternal and neonatal mortality) in Bangladesh. Previously, he worked as a research consultant at Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI) to conduct an e-governance policy research project funded by CIDA, and as a student researcher at Comprehensive Disaster Management Programme of UNDP to conduct research projects on climate change, livelihood adaptation and riverside embankments in coastal zone.
