Alyssa Languth (CDP/MBA '2014)

Alyssa Languth (USA) received a B.A. from the University of Connecticut in 2009, where she double majored in Urban and Community Studies and Economics, with a minor in GIS. As an undergraduate student she spent a semester in South Africa interning with Catholic Welfare and Development's JobStart Department. While interning she researched and developed a plan for increasing employment opportunities with sustainable incomes for women in disadvantaged communities. Upon graduation, she became an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer at the New London Homeless Hospitality Center, where she developed the volunteer program. Since the completion of her VISTA year she has been employed at the New London Homeless Hospitality Center as the Administrative Manager, overseeing federal funding and grant administration. Her interests include developing partnerships between nonprofit and profit endeavors to create sustainable change.
